Abstrakt

Tekst dotyczy wewnętrznych konotacji amerykańskiej polityki zagranicznej wobec Chin. Wzajemne powiązania pomiędzy obszarami polityki wewnętrznej i zagranicznej znajdują odzwierciedlenie w dwóch aksjomatach: „wszelka polityka ma charakter lokalny” oraz „polityka wewnętrzna nie kończy się na brzegu morza”. Obu założeniom dodatkowej legitymizacji dodaje fakt, że amerykański proces polityczny, zamiast mieć charakter kompleksowy czy systemowy, z perspektywy wyborczej ma przede wszystkim charakter problemowy, a na jego dynamikę duży wpływ ma syndrom permanentnej kampanii. Poniższy artykuł jest próbą konceptualizacji problematyki wewnętrzno-międzynarodowej intermesticity jako aspektu analizy polityki w amerykańskiej demokracji. Zbadane zostaną dwa rodzaje polityk „wewnętrzno-międzynarodowych”: strukturalna i polityczna, ponieważ odzwierciedlają one fakt, że powiązania pomiędzy polityką zagraniczną i wewnętrzną mogą być niejako obiektywną reakcją na złożoność problematyki lub subiektywnym wyborem elit politycznych.
