Abstrakt

Artykuł analizuje ewoluujące postrzeganie przez polskich nauczycieli ich ról w ramach współczesnego krajobrazu edukacyjnego oraz szerszego kontekstu społeczno-politycznego. Na podstawie półustrukturyzowanych wywiadów z nauczycielami szkół podstawowych i średnich w dużych miastach badanie podejmuje kwestie związane z percepcją roli zawodowej nauczycieli, oczekiwaniami społecznymi oraz ich zaangażowaniem w politykę edukacyjną w kategorii sprawczości politycznej. Wyniki wskazują na złożoną relację między poczuciem misji nauczycieli, frustracją wynikającą z ograniczeń biurokratycznych a rozczarowaniem procesami politycznymi. Choć nauczyciele postrzegają siebie jako agentów zmiany społecznej i podkreślają znaczenie osobistych relacji z uczniami oraz rodzicami, wyrażają sceptycyzm wobec swojej zdolności do wywierania systemowego wpływu poprzez działania polityczne. Badanie ukazuje napięcie między dążeniem nauczycieli do autonomii zawodowej a ich poczuciem marginalizacji w szerszej dynamice społeczno-politycznej, rzucając światło na wyzwania, przed jakimi stoją pedagodzy w obliczu zmieniających się paradygmatów edukacyjnych i oczekiwań społecznych.
